Tutoring

“Edina is one of the best tutors I have ever had. She is considerate and attentive to the needs of individual students, as well as empathic and intelligent. What I learned in her art class has stayed with me, encouraged my creativity and confidence, which eventually led me to successfully change career into a creative industry. In addition to this, Edina is a lovely, warm and caring person to be around. I recommend Edina 100%!”

Kash Khan – May 2017 (A review from one of my previous students)

I am an English and Arts tutor, with a PhD in Theatre, MA in Cultural Management, and First Class Hons degree in Arts. With 20 years experience tutoring students as an Academic English tutor at university level, as well as tutoring GCSE and A level students, I have helped many to overcome various disadvantages when it comes to academic performance. I have just completed a PhD (January 2017) so my brain cells are sharpened and ready to help you with the writing task in hand.

I tailor my classes to meet students’ individual needs as well as the specific requirements of assessment boards. I get inspired by the challenge of overcoming obstacles together with students, mixing various teaching methods and having fun in the process – no lesson needs to be boring.

I have nurtured many working relationships with my students. As Academic Support tutor and note-taker for deaf students, I gained a Hackney Community College award for special achievement in 2003. This was in recognition of a two-year period spent supporting a blind and disabled student on a Counselling course.

I am DBS cleared as from 2 November 2017, updated in 2019.

Contact me to discuss your or your child’s requirements and I will adjust my approach accordingly.
